Do the Right Thing

Ok so Kate wants me to blog about some of the AFI movies we are watching. Over the past 2 nights we watched Do the Right Thing, a movie by Spike Lee about Harlem. It was a series of stories about various neighborhood characters and the stories all converged at the end. The movie had a humorous tone through much of the movie but became a serious commentary on race relations at the end. The movie had no true protagonists or antagonists but presented a multifaceted view of a complex neighborhood. I liked the movie and would recommend it.
